While I am running this year for President of Cherokee Shores there are many important issues going on within our neighborhood and closeby communities that affect not only Cherokee Shores but all surrounding communities around the lake.
I have joined the fight to Save Cedar Creek Lake - our Lake and our homes - and I invite all of you and all of the neighbors and friends of Cherokee Shores Community to sign up and join this fight!!!

It is hard to keep a track of all the innovative ways developers and technology are moving in and taking over our neighborhoods, but if one hears and we all pay attention we can get ahead of the wrong and assure the right causes win.
For those that got the land around this lake for some peace and quiet and the beauty of nature, the peace and quiet may not be for long. Data Center Developer has recently purchased approximately 1100 acres of land for an industrial type data center development and if we don't act now, when it's relevant, those of us who seek to increase our property values can kiss that idea good buy and those of us who just want to retire in peace - will no longer be guaranteed clean drinkable water supply in the future.
Industrial type development on the lake that will drain the lake daily of projected 5 million gallons of water will dry up our already exhausted lake that is trying to keep up with the daily demand of the homestead communities relying on its water supply, and for those that don't know it is not just the communities around our lake - this lake is Tarrant County water supply as well and there are rumors that Dallas county is joining in.
There is no action plan to deal with the water waste of the proposed Data Center, the environmental impact on air quality is unknown to say the least, the noise and illumination from the industrial plant of this size is questionable and the traffic jam is guaranteed!
Go to the site, join the meetings, get the signs posted on your property and at your business; donate if you can: donate your time, money, energy and knowledge. The organizers will be making this into 501c charitable organization to bring in the revenue to promote this cause and hopefully influence the lawmakers to set some boundaries for the data center developers.
Stay engaged! Keep reading, researching and supporting the good fight!
Vote No Data Centers around Cedar Creek Lake!!!
